ANNAPOLIS

A RESOLUTION to annex to the City of Annapolis, a
parcel of land containing 3.786 acres, more or less, of
real property lying and being contiguous and adjoining
the present boundaries of the City of Annapolis, and to
amend Section 1—11 Election Wards, Third Ward, of the
Code of the City of Annapolis to include said properties
within the Third Ward of the City.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS, by Petition and Consent of Gene E. Ruggles,
d/b/a/R & R Enterprises and Clemens Wagner and Mary
Wagner, his wife, owners of 3.786 acres of land on the
east side of Maryland Route 2, together with the State of
Maryland, State Roads Commission, which controls the
adjoining land within the Maryland Route 2 right—of—way
and which has given its consent to this annexation, said
total area of 3.786 acres of land contiguous and
adjoining the present boundaries of the corporate limits
of the City of Annapolis, have been requested to consider
annexation of said property to the lands included within
the corporate limits of said City:

AND WHEREAS, said proposed annexation has been duly
advertised and hearings held in accordance with the
provisions of Article 23A, Section 19, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland;

AND WHEREAS, the MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS have heard the recommendations of its Planning
and Zoning Director and the Planning and Zoning
Commission of said City upon said proposed annexation.

WHEREAS, the MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS have heard the evidence presented to it in
public hearing on April 23, 1973 in connection with the
said proposed annexation; and have determined that such
annexation would foster the continued growth and
prosperity of the said City and be conducive to the
orderly development of the municipality and lands
contiguous and adjoining thereto in a manner most
beneficial to the community and its residents, property
owners and registered voters,

AND WHEREAS, said property is presently zoned "Town
Center" under the laws and regulations appertaining to
properties located in Anne Arundel County outside the
corporate limits of the City of Annapolis, said zoning
classification having no comparable classification under
the provisions of the Charter and Code of the City of
Annapolis:
