2.   Those powers and duties of the Director of the
Division of Economic Development, set forth in Sections
258—266, Article 41, which are commensurate with the
scope of responsibility of the Assistant Secretary for
Economic Development under this Order, shall be
transferred to the Assistant Secretary for Economic
Development. Those powers and duties of the Director of
the Division of Economic Development which are
commensurate with the scope of responsibility of the
Office of Business and Industrial Development shall be
transferred to the Chief, Office of Business and
Industrial Development.

3.   There shall be an Assistant Secretary for Community
Development, within the Office of the Secretary, whose
areas of responsibility shall include:

a.    Division of Housing

b.    Community Development Administration

c.    Historical and Cultural Administrator
i. Maryland Historical Trust

ii. Arts Council

iii. Bicentennial Commission

iv. St. Mary's

4.   There shall be a Director of Research, within the
Office of the Secretary, whose responsibilities shall
include research support to all activities of the
Department, and economic and statistical research and
information as a function of the Department.
