Because of the inconsistency between Senate Bill
882, which is only of a corrective nature, and House Bill
1133, which contains substantive provisions, I have
decided to veto Senate Bill 882.

Senate Bill No. 932 - Kent County Alcoholic
Beverages Licenses

AN ACT concerning

Kent County — Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of altering the regulations concerning
sale of alcoholic beverages by liquor licensees in
Kent County on New Year's Day.

May 31, 1974.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
932.

This bill modifies the law concerning the sale of
alcoholic beverages in Kent County on New Year's Day.

House Bill 1029, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 31, 1974, accomplishes
the same purpose as Senate Bill 932.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 932.
