MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            2679

JURISDICTION, any officer or other person having [such] A
prisoner in charge for the performance of [such] THE work
or labor, connive at or by his wilful neglect [,] permit
the escape of any [such] WORKING prisoner, he shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor[, and upon indictment and
conviction of such offense in the Circuit Court for
Worcester County] AND be fined not [less than twenty
dollars or] more than [fifty] $50, or be confined in the
county jail.

Any person who [shall enter] ENTERS upon or [cross]
CROSSES over the premises or private property of any
person in Worcester County, after having had a special
written notice served upon him by the owner of [said] THE
property, or by his agent, not to cross over or enter
upon [said] THE premises or private property [,] shall be
[deemed] guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
[thereof] before [some justice of the peace of said] A
COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION OF WORCESTER County be
fined [by said justice] not [less than five nor] more
than [fifty dollars] $50, and [in default of payment of
[said] UPON REFUSAL TO PAY THE fine, together with costs
of prosecution, shall be [by said justice of the peace]
committed to the County jail for a period of [twenty] 20
days.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
118, 119 and 163 of the Public Local Laws of Worcester
County being Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1961 Edition and 1972 Supplement) be and
they are hereby repealed:

Article 24

118.

[There shall be two terms of the Circuit Court for
Worcester County to be held at Snow Hill, commencing on
the fourth Monday of March and the second Monday of
October in each year.]

119.

[A jury shall be drawn and summoned, according to
the mode prescribed by law for drawing and summoning
jurors, to attend, at the March and October terms of said
Court; and the Court, or a Judge thereof, may require the
attendance of the Grand Jury or the Petit Jury, or both,
whenever the business before the Court warrants their
attendance.]
