SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning

Controlled Dangerous Substances — Evidence

FOP the purpose of providing for the admission of written
reports of analyses of, and statements of the chain
of custody of, suspected controlled dangerous
substances as prima facie evidence and for
exceptions thereto.

BY adding to

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 10- 1001, 10-1002 and 10-1003, to be under

the new subtitle "Subtitle 10. Controlled Dangerous

Substances."

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 10-1001, 10-1002, and
10-1003, to be under the new subtitle "Subtitle 10.
Controlled Dangerous Substances", be and they are hereby
added to Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume) to read as
follows:

SUBTITLE 10. CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES
10-1001.

FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING THAT PHYSICAL
EVIDENCE IN A CRIMINAL OR CIVIL PROCEEDING CONSTITUTES A
PARTICULAR CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE DEFINED UNDER
