AN ACT concerning

Bicycle Laws - Publication and Distribution

FOR the purpose of requiring except in Garrett [[County]]
and Allegany Counties the distribution of the State
bicycle laws or summaries thereof by certain dealers
to purchasers of bicycles and requiring that the
Motor Vehicle Administration publish and make
available, upon request, at cost, bicycle law
information [[and prescribing certain penalties for
violation of this section]].

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 11-1208 be and it is hereby
added to Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1973
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle Laws
11-1208.

[[(A) THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL PUBLISH COPIES OF THE
LAWS OF THIS STATE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF BICYCLES.
COPIES SHALL BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

(B) NO DEALER ENGAGED IN THE RETAIL SALE OF
BICYCLES IN MARYLAND SHALL SELL A BICYCLE TO ANY
PURCHASE WITHOUT DISTRIBUTING TO EACH PURCHASER A COPY
