SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 19 be and it is hereby added
to Article 32 — Dentistry, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 32 — Dentistry

19.

A DENTIST LICENSED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS ARTICLE,
PERFORMING SERVICES TO AN INSURED UNDER AN APPLICABLE
HEALTH AND ACCIDENT, SICKNESS, OR OTHER INSURANCE POLICY,
IS ENTITLED TO COMPENSATION THEREFOR UNDER THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 490A-1 OF ARTICLE 48A OF THIS CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 490A-1 be and it is hereby added to Article 48A -
Insurance Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:

FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEALTH AND ACCIDENT, SICKNESS,
AND OTHER INSURANCE POLICIES, A DENTIST, LICENSED TO
PRACTICE DENTISTRY IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND, IS ENTITLED
TO COMPENSATION FOR THOSE SERVICES WHICH HE IS LICENSED
TO PERFORM UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 32, WHICH HE
HAS RENDERED TO ANY INSURED. THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION
