Frederick County — County Commissioners
FOR the purpose of setting the salary of the county
commissioners of Frederick County and specifying
that the salary increase for which provision is made
by this Act does not affect the incumbents.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
The Public Local Laws of Frederick County
Section 2-4
Article 11 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1959 Edition, as
amended by Chapter 391 of the Acts of 1970.)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-4 of the Public Local Laws of
Frederick County being Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1959 Edition, as amended by
Chapter 391 of the Acts of 1970) be and it is hereby
repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article 11
2-4.
[The county commissioners shall each receive for the
services performed by them an annual salary of eight
thousand dollars, payable in equal monthly installments
by the county treasurer, as full compensation for
services and mileage; provided, however, that should any
emergency arise necessitating them or either of them to
go outside the county to perform any duties pertaining to
their office, then each of them so doing shall be
reimbursed from the miscellaneous fund of the county for
his actual and necessary expenses. As of the beginning
of the term of the county commissioners elected in
November, 1970, the] THE county commissioners shall
receive an annual salary of [ten thousand dollars]
[[$15,000]] $12,500 as full compensation for their
services as county commissioners or as a member of any
other county board or agency. [As of January 1, 1967,
the] THE county commissioners shall in addition receive
such sums for expenses incurred in the performance of
their duties as may be provided in the annual county
budget.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
