(18)   A PERSON ENGAGING IN WORK ON OR IN A BUSINESS
PREMISE WHEN THE PREMISES IS NOT OPEN TO CUSTOMERS OR THE
GENERAL PUBLIC FOR TRADE PROVIDED THE PERSON IS NOT A
PAID EMPLOYEE REQUIRED TO REGULARLY WORK ON SUNDAY IN
EMPLOYMENT NOT LAWFUL UNDER OTHER PROVISIONS OF THIS
SECTION.

(19)   FUNERAL HOMES.

(20)   RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF
THOSE ENGAGED IN THE SALE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, [[EMPLOYING
AT ANY ONE LOCATION OR PREMISES ON ANY ONE SHIFT ON
SUNDAY NO MORE THAN SIX PERSONS INCLUDING THE OWNERS,
PROPRIETORS, OR MANAGERS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT]].

(D)    NOTHING IN THIS SECTION IS APPLICABLE TO ANY
PERSON WHO BY REASONS OF HIS RELIGIOUS CONVICTION
OBSERVES A DAY OTHER THAN SUNDAY AS HIS DAY OF REST AND
ACTUALLY REFRAINS FROM LABOR OR SECULAR BUSINESS ON THAT
DAY AND WHOSE ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED FOR BUSINESS ON
THAT DAY. THE TERM "A DAY OTHER THAN SUNDAY" AS USED IN
THIS SECTION SHALL MEAN ANY CONSECUTIVE TWENTY-FOUR HOUR
PERIOD.

(E)    THE STATE'S ATTORNEY OF CECIL COUNTY MAY
PETITION THE CIRCUIT COURT TO ENJOIN ANY VIOLATION OF
THIS SECTION.

(F)    ANY PERSON, FIRM, PARTNERSHIP, OR CORPORATION
VIOLATING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR, AND UPON CONVICTION SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING
PENALTIES: A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $10,000.00 OR AN ORDER
CLOSING THE BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT UP TO TEN BUSINESS
DAYS, OR BOTH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three—fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
