1728                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [Ch. 466

(c)(1) The county treasurer of Calvert County

shall receive an annual salary of [[$8,000.00]] $8,000

and an allowance for clerical_help incidental to his

office of [[$3,000.00]] $3,000 per year during the term
of office, [[said]] THE allowance for clerical help to
be paid out in semimonthly installments. He shall
appoint one deputy treasurer, who shall receive an annual
salary of [[$5,000.00]] $5,000; and he shall appoint one
clerk—stenographer, who shall receive such annual
compensation as may be set by the County Commissioners
from time to time.

(2) ANY TREASURER WHO, SINCE 1948, HAS SERVED FOR
THREE OR MORE TERMS SHALL RECEIVE A PENSION IN THE ANNUAL
AMOUNT OF $150 FOR EACH YEAR SERVED AS TREASURER WHEN HE
LEAVES OFFICE. THE PENSION SHALL BE PAID AT LEAST ONCE A
MONTH.

SECTION [[2]] 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1974.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 16 of Article 44A - Housing
Authorities, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
