the salary of the general counsel of the Public Service
Commission shall take effect at the beginning of the term
of office created by the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 3. AMD BE IT FURTHER ENACTED. That this Act
shall terminate any portion of a term of office of the
general counsel of the Public Service Commission
remaining pursuant to any law enacted by the General
Assembly prior to the effective date of this Act.

SECTION [[2.]] 4 AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1974.

Volume) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
