Acts of 1970. With the waiver of these provisions as
applied to these items, there shall be allowed an
additional period of two years, beginning on the
effective date of this Act, for placing these projects
under contract. Any such project which has not been
placed under contract within a period of two years,
beginning on the effective date of this Act, shall be
deemed to have been abandoned and the other provisions of
Section 10 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of 1970 and Chapter
179 of the Acts of 1972 shall be fully effective as to
it.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of
1970, as amended by Chapter 229 of the Acts of 1972, be
and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time
for placing under contract the item in Section 5(L)(4)(c)
in said Chapter 101 of the Acts of 1970 and found on page
348 of the Laws of 1970, making available $380,000 for
the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Campus, for
the construction of a swimming pool addition to the
physical education building. There should be allowed an
additional period of two years beginning on the effective
date of this Act, for placing the aforementioned project
under contract. If said project shall not have been
placed under contract within a period of two years,
beginning on the effective date of this Act, then, as to
said project not so placed under contract, it shall be
deemed to have been abandoned, and the other provisions
of Section 10 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of 1970 shall be
fully effective as to said project.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 101 of the Acts of
1970, as amended by Chapter 253 of the Acts of 1972, and
any other law imposing a time for placing under contract
projects included in Item 17.01.00.01 of Section 1 of
Chapter 100 of the Acts of 1970, "Board of Public Works

—  Capital Appropriation", found on page 286 of the Laws
of 1970, said item designation number being subsequently
changed to 11-23.05.02.71 as further appearing and
described in the Maryland State Budget for the Fiscal
year ending June 30, 1971, under "Board of Public Works

— Capital Appropriation'1 beginning on page 930 of said
Budget, be and they are hereby waived insofar as they
impose a time for placing under contract the following
project included in said Item 17.01.00.01 of Section 1 of
Chapter 100 of the Acts of 1970, as further appearing and
described on page 935 of the said Budget: Project number
1.01, University of Maryland, College Park, $60,000 for
the planning and preparation of detailed plans and
specifications for a State Board of Agriculture
Laboratory Building, including air conditioning. There
shall be allowed an additional period of two years
