SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 43(e) of Article 40 - General
Assembly, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 40 — General Assembly

43.

(e) The final date for [submitting] REQUESTING THE
PREPARATION OF a prefiled bill [to] BY the Department
shall be [December]] NOVEMBER 15 prior to any regular
session of the General Assembly[.] , AND NOT LATER THAN
NOVEMBER 25 THE MEMBER SHALL INDICATE IF HE WISHES TO
PREFILE THE BILL.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
