(B)     FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS ACT, THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTIONS 4A-2(C-1) AND 4A-6(A) OF ARTICLE 33 OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1971 REPLACEMENT VOLUME AND
1973 SUPPLEMENT), REGARDING CERTIFICATES OF CANDIDACY AND
FILING FEES, SHALL APPLY TO THE ELECTION OF DELEGATES TO
THE NATIONAL PARTY CONFERENCE;

(C)    FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS ACT, THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 12-2(C) OF ARTICLE 33 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND (1971 REPLACEMENT VOLUME AND 1973 SUPPLEMENT),
SHALL APPLY TO OFFICIAL PRIMARY BALLOTS PRINTED FOR
PRIMARY ELECTIONS AS THEY REFER TO THE NAMES OF THE
CANDIDATES FOR DELEGATE TO THE NATIONAL PARTY CONFERENCE,
BUT NOT INCLUDING PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all lavs
and parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act are suspended for the period during which this
Act has application.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1974.

FOR the purpose of amending the State election laws with
particular respect to the filling of vacancies in
certain elective offices and positions, and relating
generally to these offices and positions and
vacancies therein.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 4A-4(b), 9-3 and 9-4
