AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 106(a) of Article 100
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Work, Labor and Employment, subtitle "Contracts for
Public Works," to transfer the Advisory Council on Prevailing Wage Rates to
the Division of Labor and Industry.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 106(a) of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Work, Labor
and Employment," subtitle "Contracts for Public Works," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

106.

(a) There is hereby established an Advisory Council on Prevailing Wage rates
(hereinafter referred to as the "Council") which shall be a part of the [State
Department of Licensing and Regulation] DIVISION OF LABOR AND
INDUSTRY and which shall consist of six members to be appointed in the
following manner: Two from management in the building and construction
industry; two from labor in said industry; all appointed by the Governor, with the
advice of the Secretary of Licensing and Regulation and with the advice and
consent of the Senate, from among persons recommended by organizations in the
respective groups; and two representatives of the general public appointed by the
Governor, with the advice of the Secretary of Licensing and Regulation and with
the advice and consent of the Senate.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal Section 11-2(f) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Election Code," subtitle "Party
Governing Bodies," and to enact new Section 11-2(f) in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the section repealed, to provide that the members of the party State
central committees in Anne Arundel County are to be elected from certain
legislative districts and in certain numbers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 11-2(f) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Election Code," subtitle "Party
Governing Bodies," be and it is hereby repealed, and that new Section 11-2(f) be
and it is enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed,
and all to read as follows:
