SHALL BE GIVEN IN WRITING TO THAT PERSON. THE PUBLIC
SERVICE COMPANY SHALL SEND THE NOTICE BY CERTIFIED MAIL
AT LEAST THIRTY DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEARING[[.]] BUT
FAILURE TO GIVE THE NOTICE DOES NOT INVALIDATE THE PUBLIC
HEARING OR REQUIRE ANOTHER HEARING TO BE CONDUCTED
UNLESS THE FAILURE IS WILFUL OR DELIBERATE THE NOTICE
SHALL BE SENT TO THE OWNER OR OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY AS
DETERMINED FROM THE CURRENT TAX ASSESSMENT RECORDS
OF THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION IN WHICH THE PROPERTY IS
LOCATED.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 210
(Senate Bill 94)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3-606(b) of Article 66
1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle
Laws," subtitle "[[[Certification]] CERTIFICATES of Title and Registration
of Vehicles," to increase the amount of money collected from fees for special
MOTOR VEHICLE registration plates to be used for professional scholarships.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-606(b) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "[[Certification]]
CERTIFICATES of Title and Registration of Vehicles," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
3-606.
(b) The proceeds from this additional fee shall be paid into a special fund to be
administered by the State Scholarship Board for the use of medical, dental, legal,
nursing, and pharmaceutical scholarship programs provided by the State. All in
excess of one hundred [twenty-five] [[SEVENTY-FIVE]] FIFTY thousand
dollars [($125,000)] [[($175,000)]] ($150,000) of the proceeds from this additional
fee shall be paid directly into the general funds of the State.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
