AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 of Article 30 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "In General"; and to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 4, 5, 6, 6A, 6B, 8, 9, and 10 of Article
30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "Workshop and School for
Blind"; and to repeal and re-enact Section 30A(e-l) of Article 30 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "Products Made By the
Blind"; and to change the name of the subtitle "Workshop and School for
Blind" of Article 30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1972 Supplement), the new subtitle to be "Blind Industries and
Services of Maryland" in lieu thereof; to change the name of the Maryland
Workshop for the Blind and to increase the number of trustees thereof.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3 of Article 30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or Blind,"
subtitle "In General"; Sections 4, 5, 6, 6A, 6B, 8, 9, and 10 of Article 30 of the
Code, title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "Workshop and School for Blind";
Section 30A(e-l) of Article 30 of the Code, title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle
"Products Made by the Blind," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments; and to change the name of the subtitle "Workshop and School
for Blind", of Article 30 of the Code, to be the new subtitle "Blind Industries and
Services of Maryland," and all to read as follows:

The directors of [[the]] [Maryland institution for the instruction of the blind]
BLIND INDUSTRIES AND SERVICES OF MARYLAND are authorized and
empowered to apply such portion of their endowment fund and annual income as
they may deem expedient to establish [workshops] TRAINING AND
EMPLOYMENT CENTERS and to open a store for the sale of articles
manufactured by the blind, and to extend the benefits of such [workshops]
CENTERS and store to the adult blind of this State not resident in the
institutions, on such terms and under such regulations as they may prescribe.
