IS RAISED, THE SIGN IS AT THE EYE LEVEL OF THE OPERATOR. IN
ADDITION, THIS SAME SIGN MUST BE PLACED ON THE OUTSIDE OF
ALL EQUIPMENT SO THAT IT IS IN PLAIN VIEW OF ANY PERSON
ASSISTING THE OPERATOR FROM OUTSIDE THE EQUIPMENT.]]
THE WARNING SIGN REQUIRED IN SUBSECTION (C) (2) SHALL BE.

(1)    PLACED IN CLEAR VIEW OF THE OPERATOR WHEN HE IS AT
THE CONTROLS OF THE EQUIPMENT:

(2)      PLACED ON THE BOOM OF ANY CRANE OR DERRICK SO
THAT WHEN THE BOOM IS RAISED, THE SIGN IS AT THE EYE LEVEL
OF THE OPERATOR; AND.

(3)    PLACED ON THE OUTSIDE OF ALL EQUIPMENT SO THAT IT IS
IN CLEAR VIEW OF. ANY PERSON ASSISTING THE OPERATOR FROM
OUTSIDE THE EQUIPMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 122
(House Bill 45)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 292, 293, and 294(b)
of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume),
title "Health," subtitle "Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses," and to add
new Section 294(e) to said Article, title and subtitle, to follow immediately after
Section 294(d) thereof, to add two (2) licensed practical nurses to the State
Board of Examiners of Nurses, to limit their powers as Board members, to
provide their qualifications, to establish a quorum and to provide how they shall
be appointed.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 292, 293, and 294(b) of Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle
"Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses," be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and that new Section 294(e) be and it is hereby
added to said Article, title and subtitle, to follow immediately after Section 294(d)
thereof, and all to read as follows:

292.

(a) The Governor, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene, shall appoint the Board consisting of [five] SEVEN members,
FIVE OF WHOM SHALL BE PROFESSIONAL NURSES; THE
REMAINDER SHALL BE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES. The members
of the Board holding office on [June 1, 1967] JULY 1, 1973, shall serve the
balance of the terms for which they were appointed. Thereafter the term of office
for members of the Board shall be three years. No member shall be appointed to
more than three consecutive terms. The Board shall be part of the Department of
''Health and Mental Hygiene.
