AN ACT to add new Section 64A to Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supple-
ment, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Allegany County," subtitle "County Commissioners,"
to follow immediately after Section 64 thereof, as added, by
Chapter 573 of the Acts of 1963; to empower the County Com-
missioners to create and implement a public transportation sys-
tem and generally relating thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 64A be and it is hereby added to Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "County Commis-
sioners," to follow immediately after Section 64 thereof, as added,
by Chapter 573 of the Acts of 1963 and to read as follows:
64 A.
(a) The County Commissioners are authorized and empowered
to establish a public transportation system for Allegany County.

cations for a State Board of Agriculture Laboratory Building, includ-
ing air conditioning ..... $60,000; and Project number 1.04, which
also appears and is described on page 935 of the Maryland State
Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 1971, under "Board of
Public Works — Capital Appropriation," University of Maryland,
College Park, planning and preparation of detailed plans and specifi-
cations for renovation of Morrill Hall, including air conditioning .....
$14,000. There shall be allowed an additional period of two (2)
years beginning on the effective date of this Act for placing these
projects under contract. If these projects or any of them shall not
have been placed under contract within a period of two (2) years
beginning on the effective date of this Act, then as to any such proj-
ect not so placed under contract, it shall be deemed to have been
abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 101 of
the Acts of 1970 shall be fully effective as to these projects.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon the approval of a
majority of the Board of Public Works, the funds appropriated for
planning and preparation of detailed plans and specifications for
renovation of Morrill Hall, including air conditioning ..... $14,000,
as referred to in Section 1 of this Act, may be used for the construc-
tion of an addition to the Chemical Engineering Building at the
University of Maryland, College Park.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1,1972.
