meanors", Subtitle 1, "Generally", be and it is hereby repealed, and
new Section 6-105 be, and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place of the Section repealed, to read as follows:
Section 6-105
The mooring of boats of any description at County owned or
operated wharves or piers is restricted to a total of four (4) hours out
of any twenty-four (24) hour period. Any person violating the pro-
visions of this Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars
($25.00).
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance is
hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, welfare,
and property, and being passed by the affirmative vote of five (5)
members of the County Council, the same shall take effect from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
13-351.2 (b) (3) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition
and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3,
"Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Board of Appeals", Division 2,
"Powers", to clarify the minimum standards for measuring the
distance of package goods stores from a church or school.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, That Section 13-351.2 (b) (3) of the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 13, "Planning
and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Board of
Appeals", Division 2, "Powers" be, and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows :
Section 13-351.2 (b)
(3) Where the proposed location is shown to be no closer than
one thousand feet (1,000') [in a straight line] from entry to entry
from a church or school (the said one thousand feet (1,000') is to be
measured from the front door or main entrance, whichever is nearest
the street abutting the premises, of the proposed licensed establish-
ment along the nearest usual pedestrian route to the door closest to
the licensed premises which is used as an entrance or exit to any
school, or to the main entrance of the church), and the burden of
proof as to the above distance shall be with the applicant.
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.
