and 18882 (35) North 72 degrees 40 minutes 53 seconds West 147.34 feet;
thence (36) North 36 degrees 28 minutes 26 seconds West 265.09 feet;
thence (37) North 69 degrees 55 minutes 54 seconds West 72.21 feet; thence
(38) North 87 degrees 42 minutes 29 seconds West 8.11 feet to a point in
the present corporate boundary; thence with said boundary (39) North 66
degrees 54 minutes 53 seconds West 1,470.24 feet; thence (40) North 0
degree 13 minutes 59 seconds East 1,219.17 feet to the beginning; Con-
taining 367.3 acres, more or less; and BEING the same property conveyed
A—From Joseph F. Padula, d.b.n. c.t.a., to Tri-State Cable T.V., Inc., by
deed dated December 29, 1969, and recorded in Liber 499, Folio 642; and
B—From George B. Hess, unmarried, to the Mayor and Council of Han-
cock, by deed dated May 1, 1962, and recorded in Liber 379, folio 510
among the Land Records of Washington County, Maryland.

WHEREAS the parties to the consent Agreement have agreed that
the owners of the property of the annexed area will be eligible for city
real estate taxes beginning July 1, 1970.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
COUNCIL OF HANCOCK

Section 1. That the corporate boundary of the municipal corporation
of Hancock be enlarged and that the area herein above described be annexed
and become a part of the municipal corporation of the Town of Hancock.

Section 2. That the Mayor and Council publish a notice not fewer
than four times in The Hancock News, describing the area to be annexed,
in conditions and circumstances applicable thereto and establish a time
and place of a public hearing to be set not less than fifteen days after
the fourth publication in said Hancock News.

RESOLUTION OF ENACTMENT
1970 Annexation

Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Hancock to enact the reso-
lution of April 20, 1970, pertaining to the annexation of three tracts
contiguous to the City boundaries, and to specify the effective date
of said resolution.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council resolved to annex four areas by
resolution dated April 20, 1970; and

WHEREAS, the required public notice of public hearing was pub-
lished weekly in the Hancock News four times from April 23, 1970, and
a copy of the resolution and a plat of the area to be annexed were posted
in the Municipal Office; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 29, 1970, at the Mu-
nicipal Building on High Street in Hancock ;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
COUNCIL OF HANCOCK that:
