80. On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Received of Charles Hammond Junior this 25th day of August 1763 the Consideration Money within expressed being thirty two Pounds Currency Current Money I say recev'd the same by me £ 32 0 0 Test NRuxton Gay Daniel Clary August 25th 1763 Then came Daniel Clary Party to the within Deed before Us Two of his Lordships Justices of Baltimore County Court and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and the Parcel of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances thereof within Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Charles Hammond Junior his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided At the same time also Came Elinor the Wife of s.d Daniel who being Privately Examined by us and out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she freely and Voluntarily gave up all her Right and title of Dower &c of in and to the within named Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances &c and that she was not Compelled thereto thro force or the threats of her Husband or fear of his displeasure Acknowledged before NRuxton Gay Benjamin Rogers September 12.th 1763 Received of M.r Charles Hammond Junior six shillings and seven pence sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 12.th September 1763 10 s.d |
