66. On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written Viz Upper Malbro August 24 1763 Then came John Thomson one of the Witnesses to the within Power of Attorney before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he saw the within named Thomas Johnson Sign seal & deliver the said Power And that he also saw George Chalmers John Neal and Robert Boyd sign their Names as Witnesses in the presence ant at the request of him the said Thomas Johnson Geo Steuart Recorded the 5th day of September 1763 3 3/4 s.d Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty Seventh day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred sixty three Between John Brunt of Baltimore County Cordwainder of the one Part and William Swartz of the Said County Farmer of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Brunt for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty Six Pounds Current Money to him in hand Paid by the said William Swartz at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath granted bargained and sold & by these presents Doth Bargain and Sell unto the Said William Swartz and his Heirs all that part of a Tract of Land called Edwards Discovery lying and being partly in Ann Arundel County and Partly in Baltimore County which said Part hereby Intended to be sold shall be limitted by the following Metes and Bounds Viz Beginning at the End of the North twenty three degrees East Eighty Perch line of the whole Tract and running thence reversly on the said Land the four following Courses Viz South Twenty three degrees West Eighty Perches South Sixty one degrees East fifty two Perches North Seventy degrees East Seventy two Perches North five Degrees East Ninety Two Perches to the falls then North Eighty two degrees & thirty Minutes West Ten Perches North five degrees East Sixteen Perches North Eighty two Degrees and thirty Minutes West Twenty seven Perches South two degrees East Eight Perches to a Branch then with a Streight Line to the Place of Beginning containing and laid out for sixty five Acres more or less with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto |
