62.) for Us and therewith Transmitted to him sundry Papers and Adinmicles for prosecuting and following out the same All which Papers and Adminicles with said Power of Attorney came to the hands of the said Alexander John Alexander who in virtue thereof entered upon the Management and made some steps of Procedure therein as appears by sundry Letters wrote by him and Addressed to the said Robert Chalmers And Whereas the said Alexander John Alexander In his last Letter bearing date at Boyd's hole the fourteenth September One thousand Seven hundred & sixty one writes as his Opinion That it will be greatly for the Interest of all concerned That the said Robert Chalmers Should go over himself to pro^se^cute the Affair as the said Alexander John Alexanders other Affairs could not admitt of his giving the Application and Attendance to it as the Affair requires And We having taken the premisses to our serious Consideration And the said Robert Chalmer having Condescended to go over to Maryland in Order the More Effectually to Negotiate the Affairs and Business aforesaid in behalf of himself And as Administrator in Law for his said son And in behalf of Us the saids Barbara and Elizabeth Boogs and our saids Husbands And it being proper and Necessary That he should be furnished with Ample Power and Commission for that Purpose Therefore Witt Ye Us To have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed Like as Eliz Booge s Barbara Booge s Jn Robertson s (Fourth Page) Ja Sword s Like as We the saids Barbara and Elizabeth Boogs and We the said James Sword and James Robertson Husbands of the saids Barbara & Elizabeth all with one Advice and Consent by then Presents Do make ordain constitute and appoint the said Robert Chalmers our true and Lawfull Attorney for Us and in Our Names and for his own and sons and our Uses Interests and Concerns To Ask demand Sue for Recover and receive All and every such Rents and Arrears of Rents as are now due or owing or which at any Time hereafter shall grow due or owing unto Us from any Person or Persons whatsoever as Tenants or Occupyers of all those our several Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments scituate lying and being in the Province of Maryland or any of them or any Part or Parcell of them or any of them or any of them And for non payment of the same Rents and Arrears of Rent or any Part thereof To enter and distrain and the Distress and Distresses then |
