610 On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written (Viz) Received this 24.th Day of June 1765 of the within Thomas Ringgold the within five Pounds current Money in full Satisfaction for the within Land Witness Jn.o Car.ll Hynson Sam.l Budd Richard Tilghman 5.th Be it remembred that on the 24.th Day of June 1765 the within Samuel Budd and Milkah his wife personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland and acknowledged the with Deed to be their Act & Deed and the Lands & Premisses therein containd to be the only Right Property & Estate of the within Thomas Ringgold according to the form Force & Effect true Intent and Meaning of the said Deed and that I privately examind the said Milkah out of the hearing of her said Husband and She declared She made her said acknowledgement willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fear or Threats of or ill usage from her Said husband or for fear of his Displeasure In Testimony whereof I have set my hand the Day & year above Written 11 1/2 side Recorded 3.d Day of September 1765 B Hands Ex.d This Indenture Tripa^r^tite made this Eighteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and sixty five Between John Scarbrough and Ann his Wife of Worcester County in Maryland and Samuel Bowden Roberts ^Robins^ of the same place of the second part And Littleton Dennis of the same place of the third part Witnesseth that the said John Scarbrough and Ann his Wife and Samuel Scarbrough and Peggy his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty pounds Current money to them paid by the af.d Bowden Robins at and before the Sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof the said John Ann Samuel and Peggy hereby severally do acknowledge and for the further and better assuring and confirming of the Lands and Tenements with the Appurtenances hereafter mentioned for the uses and purposes intents and purposes herein after limitted expressed and declared unto the af.d Bowden Roberts Robins his heirs and Assignes for ever have granted bargained and sold released and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the af.d Bowden Roberts ^Robins^ his heirs and assigns for ever all that Tract or parcell of Land Scituate lying and being in Worcester County af.d on the sea board Side Called and Known by the Name of part of Gengollaque Bounded limitted and described as followeth Beginning at a marked Red Oak Standing on the line of a Tract of Land belonging unto the af.d Robins and from thence running along and with the Line of Virginia until it intersects the Land of Hammon thence with a Line drawn north twenty eight degrees West bonding on the Land of Hamman to a marked Red Oak from thence with a line drawn west by a line of marked trees dividing it from the Land of Hammon until it intersects the Mill Branch thence a Long and with the said Mill Branch until the said Branch intersects the Line of the afd Robins's own Land and from thence by Lines of Marked trees dividing |
