389 Assembly in such Case made and Provided And at the same time also Jane Woodward the Wife of the said William Woodward Party to the within Deed being examined a part from and out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that She freely and Voluntarily Relinquished & renowned all her Right Title & Claim of Dower to the Lands mentioned in the within Deed and to every Part thereof and that She was not Compelled or induced so to do by any Threats or Compulsion of her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure Geo Steuart 31 sd Recorded the 4th August 1764 Ex.d Articles of Agreement indented and made the thirtieth day of April in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty three Between Coverdale Richardson of Tower Hill London Merchant of the one Part and Charles Ridgeley of Maryland in America Mariner of the other Part Witness as followeth First it is Agreed that the said Charles Ridgeley is to have the Command of the Ship the Royal Briton whereof the said Coverdale Richardson is Owner now in the River of Thames and and Bound on a Voyage to Patapsico River in Maryland and back to London and during such Command to be Allowed the sum of Six Pounds P Month for Wages Also it is Agreed that the said Charles Ridgeley shall be Allowed the benefit of the Stave and all Broken Stowage in the hold and between Decks and in such Manner as shall not Detriment the Stowing of the Ships Cargo of Tobacco and also Primage and Portage And also that all Common and reasonable Charges and Expences paid laid out and expended by the said Charles Ridgeley for the use (of) |
