332 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Maryland to wit Be it Remembered that on the day and Year first within Written Personally Appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships the Right Honble the Lord proprietary his Justices of the Provincial Court all the Parties within named Acknowledge the within Deed According to Law Before me Rob.t Jenkins Henry April the 10.th 1764 Received Two shillings Ster for an Alienation Fine on the within Lands P Jos.h Allen Rec.r 9 1/2 s.d Recorded 3.d May 1764 Ex.d This Indenture made this Fifteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and sixty four Between Valentine Shroyner of Frederick County Sadler of the one Part and Conrod Merkill of the City of Annapolis Baker of the other Part Witnesseth That the said Valentine Shroyner for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred Pounds Current Money to him in Hand Paid by the said Conrod Merkill at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and there from and of and from every Part and Parcell thereof doth hereby ^release^ Acquit and Discharge the said Conrod Merkill his Heirs Executors and Administrators Hath Given Granted bargained Sold Aliened released enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these Presents Doth give Grant bargain Sell Alien release enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Conrod Merkell his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract or Parcell of Land Scituate lying and being in Frederick County called Sweet Molly Being Part of a Resurvey made on a Tract of Land Called Choice lying in the County aforesaid Begining at the end of the Thirty Sixth Perch in the Ninth Line of the aforesaid Survey running thence South Twenty four Degrees (and) |
