And According to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided and the same day Came Sarah Dorsey the Wife of the aforesaid Edward Dorsey and being Privately examined According to the Law Acknouled her Right of Dower to within mentioned Land to be Right and Estate of the within named Charles Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns forever without any Fears or Threats from her Husband Eph Howard John Burgess Jun.r April 10.th 1764 Received of M.r Charles Dorsey eight shillings Sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within two hundred and fifty Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edw.d Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent & receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 12.th of May 1764 5 1/2 s.d Ex.d Maryland fs.t To all People to whom these Presents shall come Know Ye that I Edward Dorsey Jun.r of Baltimore County Planter for and in the Consideration of the full and Just sum of six Pound ten sterling Money of Great Britain to me in hand Paid by Lancelot Dorsey of Baltimore County the Receipt whereof I do hereby Acknowledge And by these Presents Give Grant Sell and Confirm unto the said Lancelot Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns forever Part of a Trak or Parcell of Land called Dorseys Thicket ^lying in Baltimore Begining for the said Land at the end of the Fourteenth Course of Belly Ake Thicket^ and running thence North Fifteen degrees East Seventy two Perches South Seventy Degrees east Seventy three Perches thence South eleven degrees West eighty two Perches thence North Seventy Degrees West Twelve Perches thence South eleven Degrees West forty eight Perches to the end of the Eleventh (Course) |
