180. and to the said One hundred Acres of Land with the Appurtenances to be in the within named Samuel Child his heirs and Assigns for ever And the said Eleanor being by me privately examined out of the hearing of her said husband did Declare that she made the above Acknowledgment Willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto by fears or threats of or Ill usage by her said husband or fear of his displeasure before me J Hepburn Received of M.r Samuel Child four Shillings Sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & receiver Generall Benj.a Beall 9 1/2 s.d Recorded the 31.st December 1763 Ex.d This Indenture made the seventh day of November Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty three Between Samuel Pottenger of Frederick County Planter of the one part and Henry Child of Annarundel County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Pottenger Standing Legally seized and Entituled of and in Two Certain Tracts or Parcells of Land One Called Part of Thompsons Pasture the other Called part of the Hop Yard both lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid for and in Consideration of the sum of One Hundred pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Samuel Pottenger Doth hereby Acknowledge and therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid of all and every part thereof doth Exonerate acquit and discharge the said Henry Child his Executors and Adm.rs for ever hath given granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffd Conveyed Released Remised Ratifyed Confirmed and made over and in order to make unto him the Said Henry Child an Absolute Indefeazable Estate of Inheritance Doth give grant Sell Alien Enfeoffe Convey Remise Release Ratify Confirm and make over unto him the Said Henry Child in his Peacable Possession and seized thereof now being all those Two Tracts or parcels of Land One called Part of Thompsons Pasture the other Called part of the Hop Yard 9 1 /2 s.d afd |
