154. Maryland fs.t Nov.r 15th 1763 Then Came Cha.s Carroll Esq.r party to the within Deed before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court & Acknowledged the Land & premisses within mentioned to be the Right & Estate of Christian Hare his heirs & assigns forever Geo Steuart Recorded the 15th November 1763 Exd This Indenture made this Fourteenth day of November Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred & sixty three Between Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esquire of the one Part & Patrick Macsherry of York County in the Province of Pensilvania Farmer of the other Part Witnesseth that Whereas John Digges deceased formerly Mortgaged to Charles Carroll a certain Tract of Land called Digges's Choice as by the said Mortgage referrence being thereunto had may appear And Whereas the said Patrick Macsherry hath agreed with Edward Digges William Digges & Henry Daniel Digges sons of John Digges deceased for the Purchase of Three hundred Acres Part of the said Land & Whereas the sum of Two hundred & Twelve pounds Ten shillings Pennsilvania Money & one hundred forty five pounds three shillings & nine pence Maryland Currency hath been paid to Charles Carroll party to these Presents Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll for and in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred & Twelve pounds Ten shillings Pennsilvania Money & one hundred & forty five pounds three shillings & Nine pence Maryland Currency to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge & thereof doth acquit & discharge the said Patrick Macsherry his Ex.rs & Adm.rs Hath as he Doth by these Presents release all his Right Title Claim or Demand of in or unto the said three hundred Acres of Land being Part of Digges's Choice & Cordained within y.e following Meets & Bounds Beginning at a forked White Oak on the South West side of Plum Creek & about forty perches from the said Creek & running thence North seven degrees East Twenty three perches then North Twenty degrees West One hundred and Twenty perches then North sixty one degrees East three hundred & |
