141. hundred and Sixty three John Cox s Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Us Jn.o Gibbs Henry M.cPearce Jacob Ashmead Received the day of the date of the within Written Indenture of the within named Samuel Neave & Jeremiah Warder the Sum of Six hundred & seventy five pounds it being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness present Sam.l Mifflin John Cox Maryland fs.t July 1.st 1763 I hereby Certify that the above named Jacob Ashmead one of the Subscribing Witnesses to the above Power of Attorney personally Appeared before me the subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court for the Province of Maryland and made Oath that he saw the above John Cox Sign and Seal and as his Act & deed deliver the above Power of Attorney constituting and appointing Thomas Ringgold to be his Attorney to Acknowledge the within Deed and that he the said Jacob Ashmead Subscribed his name as a Witness thereto In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand R.d Tilghman July 1.st 1763 Be it Remembered that Thomas Ringgold the Person named in the above Power of Attorney personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland and by Virtue of the above Power did for and in the Name of the abovesaid John Cox acknowledge the within Deed to be the Act and Deed of the within John Cox and the Lands and Premisses herein contained to be the only Right Property and Estate of the within named Samuel Neave & Jeremiah Warder according to the Form Force and Effect of the same Deed In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand the day and year above R.d Tilghman Recorded the 13th October 1763 16 1/2 s.d |
