116. John Hesselius and Mary his Wife or one of them Have or Hath in him her or themselves full Power good Right and Lawful Authority to Bargain and sell assign and Set over release and Confirm the Said Parcel of Land and Premisses hereby released and Confirmed or intended so to be with their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto the Said Horatio Sharpe his heirs and Assigns In Witness Whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and Year first above written John Hesselius s Mary Hesselius s Hor.o Sharpe s On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Us B Hands S Bordley Received the fifth day of October in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty three of the within named Horatio Sharpe the sum of Nine hundred and Thirty five Pounds Eighteen shillings & two Pence Sterling Money in full for the Consideration Within mentioned to be by him paid to us John Hesselius Witness B Hands S Bordley Mary Hesselius Maryland to Wit October the fifth Anno Domini 1763 Came the within named John Hesselius and Mary his Wife and did severally Acknowledge the Within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses within released and Conveyed or Intended so to be to be the Estate Right and Property of the within named Horatio Sharpe his heirs and Assigns According to the true Intent and meaning of the within Deed And the Said Mary being Examined apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did declare that she made this Acknowledgment willingly and freely without any threats or Compulsion from her said Husband or for fear of his displeasure B Hands 1763 |
