80) Hundred Acres the half part of Chance Originally on september the Second One Thousand Seven hundred and Nine granted to Charles Carroll Esq.r for nine hundred and Sixty Nine Acres and which Said half part of Chance upon a Resurvey made the Tenth Day of December one Thousand Seven hundred and forty three appeared to Contain only three hundred and Eighty Acres Clear of Doohougan Mannor the half part of Cloven Couse Containing four hundred and sixty two and an half Acres and Whereas Charles Carroll Junior the Son of Daniel Carroll hath paid and satisfied to Daniel Carroll Esq.r and Ignatius Diggs Esq.r who Intermarried the Said Elianor Carroll and Mary Carroll that is to each of them the Sum of One hundred and thirty four Pounds and six shillings sterling by the hands of Charles Carroll Esq.r party to these Presents in full Consideration of the Value and Purchase of the above mentioned Moietys or Tracts of Land Now this Indenture Farther Witnesseth that the Said Charles Carroll Esq.r for and in Consideration of the above sums of one hundred and thirty four Pounds Six Shillings Sterling Paid by Charles Carroll the Son of Daniel Carroll to Daniel Carroll and Ignatius Diggs and in Consideration of the Further Sum of five shillings ^sterling^ to him in hand Paid by Charles Carroll Junior at or Before the Sealing & Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit the said Charles Carroll Junior his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns (and) |
