8) Maryland fs.t Exam.d Know all men by these Presents that we Colmore Beans John Sprigg & Joseph Sim of Prince Georges County Gentlemen are held and firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Propry in the full and just sum of two hundred Pounds Current money to be Paid to the said Lord Propry his heirs or successors to the which payment well and truly to be made we do bind our selves our heirs Executors and administrators for the whole and in the whole joyntly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this fourth Day of September Anno Domini 1756 The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Colmore Beanes Whilst he shall Continue in the office of Receiver or Collector of the Land Tax in Prince Georges County shall well and truly Faithfully Execute and Perform the several Duties Required of him to be performed by the act of assembly of this Province Entitled and Act for Granting a Supply of forty Thousand Pounds for his Majestys service & striking Thirty four Thousand & fifteen Pounds six shillings thereof in Bills of Credit & Raising a fund for sinking the same and do well & Faithfully Pay to the Commissioners of the Loan office for the time being the several sums of money which he shall Receive or be answerable for in Virtue of the same act at such times as by the said act is Directed according to the true Intent and meaning thereof then the above obligation to be void and of no Effect otherwise to Remain in full force and Virtue sealed & Delivered C Beanes seal In Presence of John Sprigg seal John Cooke Joseph Sim seal Benj.a Brookee Duty paid P Geos Co.ty Jos Sim Clk Court Seal On the Back of the foregoing Bond was thus endorsed Viz.t Maryland Prince Georges County Sep.t 4.th 1756 John Cooke and Benj.a Brooke subscribing witnesses to the written Bond made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they saw The within named Colmore Beanes John Sprigg & Joseph Sim sign seal & deliver the within Bond as their act & Deed & that they subscribed as Wittnesses thereto at the same time sworn before 3 s.d Recorded Sep.t 13.th 1756 J Hepburn |
