       well and truly to be made we bind our Selves and Every of us our and Every of our
       heirs Executors and Administrators joyntly and Severally for the whole and in the
       whole firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated the Twelfth
       Day of June in the fifth year of our Dominion Annoq Dom 1756

       The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above Bound Jacob
       Hindman whilst he shall be and Continue in the Office of Collector of the Excise
       in Talbot County shall well and Faithfully Exercise and Perform the several
       Duties Required to him to be Performed by the Act of Assembly Entituled an Act
       for Granting a Supply of forty thousand Pounds for his Majestys Service
       and Striking thirty four thousand and fifteen Pounds six Shillings thereof
       in Bills of Credit and Raiseing a Fund for sinking the same and do well and
       and faithfully pay to the Commissioners of the Loan office for the time
       being the several Sums of Money which he shall Receive and be answerable
       for in Virtue of the same act at such times as by the said act ids Directed
       According to the true Intent and meaning thereof then the above
       Collection to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force

          On the Back of the foregoing Bond was thus endorsed Viz.t

       Talbot fs.t I certifye on the 12 day of June one thousand seven hundred &
       fifty six Nicholas Goldsborough Jun.r and James Loyd Chamberlaine
       the subscribing Evidences to the within Bond made oath on the Holy
       Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the within Jack Hindman
       William Nicols and William Tripp sighn seal and Deliver the
       within bond as their Act & Deed to the use of the Right Honourable
       the Lord Proprietary sworn to before
