       it Shall appear Convenient for my Interest to Place and Replace the tenants
       who are upon the said Promise or to Receive the Same Into his own proper
       Possession for my use and Interest In Witness whereof of I have hereunto

       Howard Sign Seale & Deliver the w.thin Power of Att.ry & that he then subscribed
       his name as ^a^ Witn.s and that W.m & Ja.s Cummings were then Present &
       Likewise Subscribed their names as Witnesses to the same

Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty first day of April in the Year of
       our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine Between Charles Carroll of
       Ann Arundel County Esquire son and heir at Law of Charles Carroll late of the
       City of Annapolis Esquire deceased of the one Part and Benjamin Tasker of
       Ann Arundel County Esquire of the other part Witnesseth That whereas
       John Lewellin late of the Province of Maryland Gentleman upon the first
       day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and eighty three
       Obtained a Patent from the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland that
       then was for the Consideration and upon the Conditions therein Expressed for
       Prince Georges County called and known by the name of Enfield Chase
       and Containing by the Survey thereof sixteen hundred Acres more or less
