       being the full Payment and Satisfaction for the Said Mortgaged
       Lott of Land and Premisses I do hereby for my Self my Heirs Executors
       Administrators and Assigns Exonerate acquit Release and discharge
       the said Joseph Ensor his Heirs Executors and Administrators from
       all Manner of Claim I have to the said Mortgage and every thing
       relating thereunto as if the said Lott of Land and Premisses had
       never been Mortgaged In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my
       Hand and Affixed my Seal this Eighteenth day of April One thousand
       seven hundred Fifty and Nine

Ex.d                     North Carolina Kowan County to wit
       Know all men by these Presents that I Philip Howard now of
       Kowan County and province afs.d Late of Frederick County of the
       Province of Maryland Planter reposeing especial trust and
       Confidence in my Son John Howard have made Constituted and by
       these Presents doth make ordain Constitute and appoint my said son
       John Howard my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my name
       and to and for my use to receive all my Rents Dues profits and
       Interests now due and arrising on my Estate and Lands Lying in
       Ann Arundel County in the said Province of Maryland Commonly
       Called Gosnals Chance on which Philip Sewel and Edward Mattox now
       Lives and for the same to give full and ample Discharges when
       Received And I do hereby Impower my said son John Howard as
