       hundred and Nine Pounds Eight Shillings and Eight Pence was at
       that Time due from me to the said Lancelot Jacques on four Seperate
       and Distinct Bonds the Legal Interest of which from the Said 28th
       day of July 1756 to this day amounts to the sum of Sixty three pounds
       Eighteen Shillings and three pence Current Money   And Whereas the
       said John Brice hath commenced ^Actions^ on three of the aforesaid four Bonds
       or Writings Obligatory returnable to the next Provincial Court and
       which Actions the said John Brice at my Special Instance and Request
       hath agreed to Countermand or Strike off the Docquet on my paying
       all the Costs of Suit on each of them and which said Costs Amount to
       Eleven hundred and Nineteen pounds of Tobacco and which by Agreement
       is rated at Twenty five Shillings Current Money per hundred
       and Amounts to a further Sum of thirteen pounds Nineteen Shillings and
       Nine pence Currency which aforesaid Several Sums Amount in the whole
       to the Sum of four hundred Eighty seven Pounds six shillings and Eight
       Pence Now Know all Men by these Presents that I the within and above
       named Charles Homewood for and in Consideration of the aforesaid sum
       of four hundred Eight seven pounds six shillings and Eight pence by
       the aforesaid John Brice paid on my Account the Receipt whereof is
       hereby Acknowledged I the said Charles Homewood for my Self my Heirs
       Executors and Administrators do hereby Covenant and agree to and
       with the said John Brice his Executors Administrators and Assigns
       that the within Deed of Mortgage and the Several Tracts or Parcels
       of Land within Mentioned with their each and every of their Appurtenances
       shall stand be and remain as a Security to the said John
       Brice his Executors Administrators and Assigns for the Payment of
       the aforesaid Sum of four hundred Eighty Seven pounds six shillings
       and Eight pence Current Money with Legal Interest thereon from
       the date hereof over and above the One thousand Pounds Current
                                                                                              (Money)
