321) to the Uses and Purposes within mentioned and also that she did make this Acknowledgment willingly and freely and of her own accord without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill usage by her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure acknowledged before J Hepburn 12 1/2 sides Recorded the 27.th Septem.r 1758 Ex.d This Indenture made the Day of in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty eight Between Philip Thomas of Ann Arundel County Esquire of the one Part and Henrietta Maria Dulany of Ann Arundel County Widow of the other Part Whereas the said Philip Thomas as Surviving Administrators of Samuel Chew the Elder late of Ann Arundel County Gentleman deceased did by Virtue and in Consequence of a Decree of the High Court of Chancery of this Province by Deed of Bargain and Sale bearing Date the twenty eighth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Fifty two among other Things bargain Sell and Convey to a Certain William Thornton then of the City of Annapolis and his Heirs Part of a Tract or Parcel of Land Scituate lying and being in Baltimore County in the Province aforesaid being part of a Tract of Land called Clagetts Forrest containing according to the Certificate of Resurvey thereof One thousand three hundred and Seven Acres And also one other Tract or Parcel of Land Scituate lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid called Bonds Gratuity containing four hundred Acres as by the said Deed recorded in the Provincial Court Office of this Province Reference being thereunto had may more fully and at large appear And Whereas the Said William Thornton afterwards by Deeds of Lease and Release bearing Date respectively on the twenty (Ninth) |
