197) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorst Viz.t Maryland fs.t Came Agnes Gordon one of the Parties of the within Deed and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be her Act and Deed and that the Land and Premises therein mentioned to become hereby the only Right and Property of the within named John Anderson his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the True intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided Acknowledged before me this 12th day of January Anno Dom 1758 Jn.o Brice January 12.th 1758 Received of M.r John Anderson the full and just Sum of One hundred and forty pounds Sterling being the within Consideration Sum and is in full satisfaction for the within mentioned Land & Premises Received by me Testes Agnes Gordon Jn.o Brice Rich.d Tootell John Wilmot January the 19th 1758 Received of M.r John Anderson two pence Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned Land) by Virtue by a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey 9 sides Recorded Jan.ry 19th 1758 Ex.d This Indenture made the Fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty eight between Andrew Abington of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman on the One part and James Marshall of the County and Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Andrew Abington for and in consideration of the Sum of Four hundred and twenty pounds Current Money of Maryland to him and in hand paid by the Said James Marshall before the (enseling) |
