172) April 29 1757 Then came before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court George Maxwell & Elizabeth his Wife and Thomas Brouster Parties to these Presents Deed and acknowledged the same to be their Acts & Deeds and the said Elizabeth being examined out of the Presence & hearing of her said Husband Declared that She freely and Voluntarily executed the same and was not induced thereto by any threats or fear of her Husbands Displeasure Geo Steuart 11 sides Ex.d Maryland To wit This Indenture ^Tripartite^ made on the thirtieth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty and Seven Between George Maxwell of Charles County and Province afs.d Merchant and Elizabeth his Wife of the first part Thomas Brouster of The Same County Gentleman of the Second part & James Johnson of the City of Annapolis Merchant of the third Part Witnesseth That the Said George Maxwell & Elizabeth his Wife for the Docking and Cutting of all Estates Tail and Remainders in Tail of and in all that Tract or Parcell of Land and in all these Several Tracts & Parcels of Land herein after mentioned for the Settling and assuring of the same to and for the uses herein after mentioned Limited Expressed and Declared and for the Consideration of the sum of five shillings Sterling (To) |
