16) August the 18.th 1756 Came Henry Keene before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for Frederick County and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act & Deed ^And^ the Negroes & other things therein mentioned to be the right & estate of the within named L Lawrance Owen his Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns according to the act of assembly in such Cases made & provided Acknowledged before Charles Jones Duly Paid J Darnall Clk 4 s.d Recorded Sep.t 16 1756 Ex.d This Indenture made the fourth Day of September one Thousand seven hundred and fifty six Between Richard Lee Esq of Charles County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and William Eversfield of Prince Georges County in the Province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Lee for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and Twenty four Pounds fourteen shillings sterling to him the said Richard Lee by the said William Eversfield well and truly paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledged and thereof and of Every part thereof doth Acquit & Discharge the said William Eversfield his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Hath Given Granted Bargained & Sold and by these presents doth Give Grant Bargain & Sell unto the said William Eversfield his heirs and assigns all that ^part or^ parcell of Tract of Land called Brookfield adjoyning to the Dwelling Plantation of the Late Philip Lee Esq situate lying ^& being^ near No Ll Nottingham in Prince Georges County in the Province aforesaid and Beginning at a Bounded white Oak standing on the Top (of) |
