145) Sep.r 16 1757 Then Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Edmund Key and Robert Alexander and respectively made oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they saw Philip Conner Charles Conner and Mary the Wife of the aforesaid Charles Conner James Hutchins and Thomas Johnson jun.r Parties to the within Deed respectively sign seal and deliver the same as their respective Act and Deed for the uses therein mentioned and that they did also see the Said Philip Conner and Charles Conner respectively Sign their Names to the Receipt endorsed on the within Deed for the Sum of Two hundred and Seventy Pounds Current money of Maryland being the Consideration money therein mentioned and that they respectively subscribed their names as Witnesses to the Execution of the said Deed and Receipt L Hands Sep.r 16 1757 Then Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships ^Justices of the^ Provincial Court the within named Mary Conner the wife of the within named Charles Conner and did Acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be her Act and Deed and the One hundred and thirty five Acres of Land & Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named James Hutchins his Heirs and Assigns to and for the uses Intents and Purposes in the within Deed mentioned according to the true Intent and meaning thereof and the said ^Mary^ being by me examined apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband did repeat as aforesaid and that she willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears of Threats of or ill usage from her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure Recorded Sep.r 28.th 1757 L Hands 15 sides 1/2 |
