       Name to the Receit endorsed on the within Deed for the Sum of five
       Shillings being the Consideration Money within Mentioned and that
       they respectively Subscribed their Names as Witnesses to the
       Execution of the Said Deed and Receit

Ex.d      This Indenture Tripartite made this Eleventh Day of
       August in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and
       fifty seven Between William Cromwell Senior of Ann Arundel
       County Planter of the first part Nathan Hughes of Ann Arundel
       County Planter of the Second Part and Thomas Johnson junior of
       Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the third Part Witnesseth that
       the Said William Cromwell for and in Consideration of the Sum
       of One hundred Pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in
       hand paid by the said Nathan Hughes the Receipt whereof is hereby
       Acknowledged Hath given granted released and confirmed and by
       these Presents Doth give grant release and confirm unto the said
       Nathan Hughes (in the Actual Possession of him the Said Nathan
       Hughes now being by virtue of a Bargain and Sale to him
       thereof made by the Said William Cromwell bearing Date
       the Day next before the Day of the Date of these Presents for
       One whole year commencing from the Day next before the Day
       of the Date thereof and by Force of the Statute for tranferring
       uses into Possession) all that Tract or Parcel of Land called
       Bear Neck lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid
       Containing One hundred and forty Acres Together with all Edifices
       Buildings Gardens Orchards Ways Waters Water Courses
       Commodities Priviledges Improvements Emoluments Advantages
       and Appurtenances whatsoever And all the Estate Right
       Title Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand
       whatsoever of him the said William Cromwell of into or out
       of the Same Tract or Parcel of Land belonging or in any wise
       appertaining And the Revertion and Revertions Remainder &
