98) I have Reced for the use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore one and twenty Shillings 16 1/2 & Six Pence Sterling being for the Alienation Fine of the within Lands this 24.th Nov.r 1750 Recorded Nov.r 24.th 1750 Benj.a Tasker Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty Eighth Day of November in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred & fifty Between John Digges of little Conewago in Baltimore County & Province of Maryland Gent.n of the one Part and Andrew Shriver of the place & County aforesaid Shoemaker of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Digges for and in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred Pounds Current Money of Maryland to him the said John in hand Paid Hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold as by these Presents he the said John Digges doth for himself his Heirs Give Grant Bargain and Sell Alien Enfeoffe Confirm and make over unto the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs and Assigns for Ever All that Tract or Parcell of Land herein after Described that is to say being part of a Tract of Land called Digges Choice Beginning at the End of the first line of One Hundred and twenty five Acres of Land part of the said Tract called Digges Choice a former Purchase made by the said Shriver Running thence North Eighty five Degrees West fifty six Perches thence South fifty seven Perches thence South Twenty four Degrees West two Hundred and Eighty six Perches thence North fifty six Degrees East One hundred and Sixty Perches thence North twenty eight Degrees East One hundred & five Perches thence North Eighty five Degrees West twenty Perches or till it will Intersect a South five Degrees West line drawn from the Beginning then a long the said South five Degrees West line Reverst to the Beginning Containing One hundred thirty and six Acres together with all and Singular the Conveniences and Advantages to the said Tract of Land belonging or any ways appertaining To the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs and Assigns and to no other use intent or Purpose whatsoever To have and to hold the afs.d Tract of Land with all & Singular the Premisses unto him the said Andrew Shriver (the Quit Rents due and to become due to the Lord Proprietor Excepted) his Heirs & Assigns for Ever And the said John Digges Doth for himself his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Covenant Promise Grant & agree to and with the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs & Assigns the afs.d Tract of Land & Premisses against him the said John Digges and all manner of Persons Lawfully Claiming or to Claim from by or under him for Ever hereafter to Warrant & Defend & at any time hereafter at the Request but the Cost and Charge of the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs and Assigns to Sign Seal deliver and Execute or cause to be Sign'd Sealed deliver'd and Executed any other Deed or Instrument in Writing or do any other lawful Act as the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs or Assigns his or their Councel learn'd in the Law shall Reasonably devise or Advise for the further and better Assurance Surety or Suremaking the Land and Premisses hereby Bargained & Sold unto him the said Andrew Shriver his Heirs and Assigns for Ever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have interchangeably set their Hands & Seals the day and Year first above written Sign'd Sealed & delivered John Digges Seal In the Presence of us Mary Darnall John Darnall On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Novem.r 28.th 1750 Reced of Andrew Shriver One hundred Pounds being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say reced P John Digges (Nov.r) |
