698 Maryland fs.t Know all men by these Presents that we John Bullen Exam.d Upton Scott & Walt Dulany of Annapolis are held and firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of The said Province in the full and just sum of Two Thousand Pound Sterling Money to be Paid unto the said Lord Proprietary his Heirs and successors to which Payment well & truly to be made And Done we bind ourselves and Each of us our and Every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally for the Whole and in the whole firmly by these Presents sealed with our seals and dated the 4.th day of June Anno Domini 1756 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the said John Bullen as one of the Commissioners of the Loan Office shall well and truly Execute the several Powers and Authoritys by him to be done and Performed According to the true Intent and meaning of an act of assembly Entituled an Act for Granting a supply of Forty Thousand Pound for his Majesty service and striking Thirty four thousand and fifteen pounds six shillings Thereof in Bills of Credet and Raising a fund or sinking the same that There the above Obligation to be Paid or Else to Remain in full forse and Virtue in Law Signed sealed and Delivered Jn.o Bullen seal in Presents of Upton Scott seal Simon Duff Walter Dulany seal George Gray The Securitys in the above Bond are approved of By me C Hammond Treas.r Be it Remembered that on the 9.th day of June in the year our Lord seventeen hundred and fifty six Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Personally Appeared Simon Duff and George Gray the subscribing witnesses to the within Bond and Made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they saw the within named John Bullen Upton Scott and Walter Dulany sign seal and as their Act and Deed deliver the within Bond to and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned his the within named John Bullen made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God in manner following that is to say I John Bullen do swear That I will according to the Best of my skill and knowledge faithfully Impartially and Truly demean my self in the Discharge of the Trust Ammitted |
