691) This Indenture made the first day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty six Between Charles Hammond of Ann Exam.d Arundell County Gentleman son and Heir of Law of Thomas Homewood late of Ann Arundell County Gentleman now Deceased of the one part Charles Hammond of Ann Arundell County Esquire of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Homewood for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings of Lawfull money of England to him in hand paid by the said Charles Hammond at or before the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath Given Bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Charles Homewood all that Tract or parcell of Land Called Homewoods Lott lying and being in Ann Arundell County Containing thirteen hundred and Ninety two Acres more or Less and also all that Tract or parcell of Land lying in the County afs.d called Alcots Triangle Containing Seventy Acres more or less and also all that Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County afs.d Called Hog Neck alias Davis's Lott Containing seventy acres more or less and also all that Tract or parcell of Land lying and being in the County afs.d Called Bennets Park Containing Eighty one acres more or less and also all that Tract or parcell of Land lying and being in the County afs.d Called Pytheistone Land lying and being in the County afs.d Called Homewoods parcell Containing sixty acres More less to have and to hold the said Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premisses with the appurtenances hereby Bargained and sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby Bargained and sold unto the said Charles Hammond his Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and During unto the full end and term of one Whole Year from thence next ensuing and fully to be Compleated and ended to the Intent and purpose that the said Charles Hammond may be the better enabled to receive and take a Grant or release of the Premisses hereby bargained & sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby Bargained and sold to him and his Assigns for and During the Natural Life of the said Charles Homewood in such sort Manner and form as in and by the One Indenture intended to bear date the Next day after the date of these presents, the same shall be Granted Released and Conveyed In Witness Whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above Written Sealed and Delivered M Homewood seal in the presence of Basil Dorsey jun.r C Hammond seal Tho.s Lane Weems 4 1/2 sides Recorded May 25.th 1756 |
