686) On the Back of the foregoing Deed was thus Endorced Viz.t Maryland fs.t Received 27.th March 1756 of Charles Carroll Esq.r Councellor at Law the sum of eighty pounds sterling being the Consideration money within mentioned I say received by me Witness Jos.h Ensor Tho.s Williamson Francis Fairbrother Maryland fs.t On the 27.th March 1756 came before me the Subcriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Joseph Ensor and acknowledged the within Deed according to the Directions of our Act of Assembly in such cases made & provided Rob.t Jenckins Henry Received of Cha.s Carroll Esq.r son of Doc.r Cha.s Carroll One penny sterling for his Lordships use (it being the alienation fine on the within Lott of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships Agent and Receiver Generall Recorded 20.th May 1756 Richard Dorsey 6 sides This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of March in the year Exam.d of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty and six Between Joseph Ensor of Baltimore County ^in the Province of Maryland^ merchant of the one part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Annarundell County ^Councellor at Law^ Esq.r of the other part whereas By Indenture bearing date the seventeenth day of this Instant March made Between N Ruxton Gay of the one part and Joseph Ensor party to these presents of the other part the said N Ruxton Gay did Bargain sell Assign Alien Infeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Joseph Ensor ^or^ his his Heirs and assigns two Lots of Land lying in Baltimore Town in Baltimore County aforesaid numbers sixty three and sixty four with all their appurtenances to the same appertaining Relation being thereunto had (which is now upon Record in Baltimore County Records) may more fully and at Large appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Joseph Ensor for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seventy pounds sterling money of Great Britain to him ^the said Joseph Ensor^ in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll at and before the Ensealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge he the said Joseph Ensor hath given granted Bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assigns all his (Estate) |
