                                  Received on the day and year first within written of &
       from the within named Benedict Calvert the sum of ten shillings Current
       money in full for the Consideration money therein mentioned to be by him paid to me

       19.th April 1756 ^Then^ Came the within named Lancellot Jacques before me the subscriber
       one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within
       Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein
       Mentioned and that the messuage Lands Lotts Tenements Hereditaments and
       Premises within mentioned were the Right and Estate of the within named Benedict
       Calvert his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the true Intent & meaning
       of the within Instrument of writing

       April 27.th 1756 Received of Benedict Calvert Esq.r six pounds thirteen
       shillings and ten pence sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation
       fine on the within mentioned Lands, Griffiths purchase Letchworth
       part of Coolspring manner and part of Good Luck Excepted no Alienation
       fine appearing by patent to be due on those Lands) by Virtue of a
       Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships Agent and Receiver
       Generall

       John Stewart of London merchants have made Ordained Constituted & appointed
       and by these presents do make Ordain Constitute & appoint Alexander Stewart
       of Maryland Mariner our true and Lawfull Attorney for us the said Constituants
       in our names and to our use to ask demand and Receive of and from all
       & every Person or Persons whom it doth or may Concern all such sum
       & sums of Money Goods Wares merchandize Effects Estate and things
       whatsoever which he they or any of them now have or may hereafter have
