            Martha Rogers         on the Back of the foregoing Deed was thus Endorced Viz.t
            Mary Reed

                        Received on the day and year first Written of and from
       the within named Benedict Calvert the sum of five shillings Current
       Money being in full for the Consideration money within mentioned
       to be by him paid to me

                  17.th of April 1756 Then Came the within named Lancelot Jacques
       before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court
       and Did Acknowledge the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and
       Deed for the Uses and purposes within mentioned and that the Messuage
       Lands Lotts Tenements Hereditaments and Premises were the Right and
       Estate of the within named Benedict Calvert according to the true Intent
       and meaning of the within Instrument of Writing

x.d         This Indenture made the nineteenth day of April in the year
          of our Lord seventeen hundred and fifty six Between Lancelot
       Jacques of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Gentleman
       of the one Part and the Honourable Benedict Calvert of the same place
       Esquire of the other part Whereas the aforesaid Benedict Calvert and
       Elizabeth his wife did by Indenture of Lease and Release bearing date
       respectively on or about the sixteenth and seventeenth day of April in the
       year of our Lord seventeen hundred and fifty six for the Consideration therein
       respectively mentioned grant bargain sell alien Release Enfeoff and Confirm
       unto the said Lancelot Jacques his heirs and assigns for ever all those
       several Messuages Tracts Peices Parcells and Lotts of Land Buildings
       Edefices & Improvements whatsoever with their and every of their Appurtenances
       To and for the use intent and Purpose that he the said
